Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what personal data The Wellness Script collects, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This is a general policy and not a substitute for bespoke legal advice — if you have specific concerns, please contact us.
Who we are
The Wellness Script is a pharmacist-led wellness advisory service. For any privacy query, contact thewellnessscriptedu@gmail.com.
What data we collect
- Waitlist / contact form: your email address, submitted voluntarily via our website form, processed by Netlify Forms.
- Purchases: when you buy a digital product, app access, or consultation, payment and order details (name, email, payment information) are collected and processed by Gumroad, our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your card details.
- App usage data: if you use The Wellness Script app, all sleep, blood pressure, mood and diary entries are stored locally in your browser on your own device only. We do not receive, transmit, or store this data on any server, and we cannot access it.
- Website analytics: we do not currently use cookies or third-party analytics/tracking scripts on this website. If this changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
How we use your data
- To notify waitlist members when consultations launch, and to send relevant updates (only if you've opted in).
- To deliver purchased digital products, app access codes, and consultation bookings.
- To respond to enquiries sent to our email address.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal basis for processing
We process your email for marketing communications on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. We process order data on the basis of contract (fulfilling your purchase).
Third-party processors
- Netlify — website hosting and form submissions.
- Gumroad — payment processing and order fulfilment.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
Consultations
If you book a consultation, any information you share (including health-related information you choose to disclose) is used solely to provide that consultation and is treated as confidential. We do not retain clinical records beyond what is necessary to provide the service and respond to any follow-up.
Data retention
We retain waitlist and order data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, or as required by law (e.g. for accounting records).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and to object to processing or request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email thewellnessscriptedu@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
